All PTS/BTS units are packed with features to deliver maximum comfort:
Modine's PTS/BTS separated combustion unit is specifically designed for environments with hostile atmospheric conditions, such as chemicals, high humidity or negative pressure. This tubular heat exchanger is available in units rated from 150,000 to 400,000 BTU/hr. On these units, combustion air is brought in from outside the heated area, either from outdoor air or from an adjacent room, eliminating the need to use contaminated indoor air for combustion. |

Modine V/VN-Series |

Recommended for a wide range of heating requirements, vertical steam/hot water unit heaters provide downward air delivery. These units may be suspended from up to 54 feet above the floor, depending upon the size of the heater, steam pressure (or hot-water temperature) and air deflector selected. Modine offers four optional deflector-assemblies, each with its own air-distribution characteristics. Patterns vary from a high-volume jet-like stream to a low, broad, gentle cone. Modine vertical steam/hot water unit heaters are also available in low outlet-temperature models. Protected by a cooling cone to shield it from the condenser heat, the heater's motor can be removed through the venturi opening in the bottom of the unit heater for easy service. Sheet-metal casing parts are rust-protected before the application of an attractive gray-green, baked-on, high-solids paint finish. In addition to the conventional V models, Modine offers VN unit heaters featuring heavy-duty coils with cupro-nickel tubes. These VN models are ideal for industrial installations with corrosive atmospheres or where higher steam-pressures or water temperatures are present. Available up to a maximum output of 952,000 Btu/Hr, the VN models can withstand operating temperatures up to 400°F and pressures up to 250 psi. |

Modine Power-Throw™ (PT/PTN-Series) |
|---|---|
The performance of Modine's Power-Throw™ (PT) unit heaters is characterized by a powerful, high-velocity air delivery system ranging from 1,860 to 2,520 cubic feet per minute. Consequently, these heavy-duty units are recommended to heat areas around frequently-opened large doors or wherever exceptionally long horizontal "heat throw" is required over wide areas and where sound minimization is not critical. In warehouses and large industrial buildings, a few Power Throw heaters can often replace a larger number of conventional horizontal delivery units, resulting in equipment and piping cost savings. Adjustable horizontal air deflector blades are standard. Modine's upgraded PTN models provide the same features and application versatility as the conventional PT models and more. Since the PTN unit heaters have coils made from cupro-nickel tubes, they have extra strength to withstand higher steam-pressures or water-temperatures, and corrosive steam or water conditions. |

ELICTRIC UNIT HEATERS
Modine HER-Series |
|---|---|
Features include:
Modine electric unit heaters provide a wide variety of options in solving comfort-heating problems. Each is designed for long heat-throw, uniform heat-delivery and reduced maintenance. Horizontal models feature hinged bottom panels for easy control access and are recommended for use in buildings where ceilings are low and with few obstructions. These models are normally placed around the perimeter of the building so that the air stream from each heater "wipes" the wall to produce a blanket of warm air along the building's outside walls where heat loss is greatest. |

Modine Power-Throw™ (PTE-Series) |
|---|---|
Standard features include:
Modine electric unit heaters meet the total heating requirements in most industrial plants, commercial and recreational buildings, and in special-purpose structures such as animal shelters. The features that make them the ideal selection for these types of buildings are long heat-throw, uniform heat delivery, and low installation and maintenance costs. Located up and out of the way, unit heaters beam heat down into work areas to provide clean, safe, economical heating comfort. Where there is a requirement for air velocity and heat throw greater than can be provided by horizontal delivery models, Power-Throw™ (PTE) unit heaters should be considered. For hard-to-heat areas, such as in the vicinity of frequently opened loading docks or large warehouses, PTE units are an ideal choice. Due to the higher velocity of discharge air, their air streams should not be directed at room occupants. A single PTE unit heater can often be used to replace as many as three smaller horizontal delivery units, thereby reducing equipment, installation and maintenance costs. |

Modine VE-Series |
|---|---|
Standard features include:
Modine vertical electric heaters are completely factory assembled and wired for specific power supply ordered. Standard equipment includes finned-tube sheathed nichrome wire heating elements and a totally enclosed motor with thermal-overload protection. Fans are statically and dynamically balanced. The heaters are factory assembled and wired for specific power supply ordered. The Modine design incorporates a heat shield which protects the motor from heated air passing through the unit heater. The fan and motor assemblies are exposed and can be removed without lowering the unit heater. These heaters are generally installed in areas where ceilings are high and where obstructions do not permit good horizontal movement of air. Installation should be oriented so that the heat spread from one heater overlaps the heat spread of another unit heater. |
